How the Records Routes Work
In Texas, public-record access still depends on the office that holds the record. The Hansford County Sheriff’s Office is the local route for jail custody and a booking-record request. The Justice of the Peace and District/County Clerk handle later court questions. TDCJ’s inmate search is a separate state-custody tool, and it does not provide public inmate photographs. This site puts those distinctions and official links in one place so a reader can start with the right custodian.
Information Available Here
The record pages focus on source-aware lookup paths rather than copied arrest data.
- The county records hub explains custody checks, booking-record requests, court routes, and the limits of local online results.
- Most Wanted explains the local warrant-check route and why news notices cannot confirm a current warrant.
- City pages identify the Spearman and Gruver police contacts and the county jail handoff for a locally booked arrest.
- Texas Public Information Act procedures explain how to ask the sheriff for a narrowly identified existing booking record or photograph.
Limits of a Private Reference
This is a privately operated resource. It is not connected with the Hansford County Sheriff’s Office, Hansford County Jail, TDCJ, a court, or any other government agency. It cannot release a person, confirm a current charge, issue records, arrange a visit, post bond, or provide legal advice. Office details can change, so official contacts remain the source for a final answer.
- Only the responsible agency can confirm whether someone is currently in custody or has been released.
- Only a records custodian can decide whether an existing booking record or photograph may be released.
- Only a court and a qualified attorney can address a case outcome, an expunction, or a nondisclosure question.
- Only the relevant jail or agency can give current instructions for bond, visitation, or property matters.
Custody information, charges, and release status must be confirmed with the sheriff, jail, court, or other originating government office.
Search-Partner Disclosure
Some pages include a search box operated by an outside provider. A paid signup through a partner tool can result in a referral fee that helps support the site. The provider controls its own results, prices, and service terms, and the referral relationship does not make its results an official Hansford County record.
